此标准与DD ENV1187标准与BS476-3标准、EN13501-5防火测试比较类似

EN13501-5-2005+A1-2009 建筑制品或建筑构件的防火分级 第5部分：暴露于外部火的屋面试验分级要求.

欧洲采用EN13501-5《建筑制品或建筑构件的防火分级 第5部分：暴露于外部火的屋面试验分级要求》，是所有欧洲国家关于屋面系统和材料的燃烧性能要求，其中采用了ENV1187《暴露于外部火的屋面试验方法》的方法。ENV1187中共有４种不同的方法都可以使用，ｔ１是目前欧洲使用国家最多的方法。北美采用ASTM E108《屋面覆盖材料燃烧性能测试试验方法》，其中燃烧性能分为A、B、C３级，包括美国、加拿大的消防法规也都按此方法要求。在ISO国际标准中有ISO12468-1《屋面暴露于外部火 第1部分 试验方法》，其定义了2个受火等级。所以，几乎所有的发达国家都有独立的屋面系统材料燃烧方法和分级标准，与墙体材料和系统燃烧方法和分级完全不同。
