Provides requirements applying to steam generators that recover heat from combustion turbine exhaust. It will address design, installation, maintenance, and operation concerns as they relate to combustion system hazards. Unfired HRSGs will be addressed in addition to fired HRSGs using natural gas or fuel oil.
 
NFPA 8506 covers heat recovery steam generators at any fuel input rate. HRSGs firing natural gas, No. 2 fuel oil, kerosene, JP-4 jet fuel and diesel fuel are covered. Covers HRSGs either with or without supplemental firing. (42 pp., 1998)
