AS/NZS 3013 is a classification system which defines the performance of a Wiring System (WS). The classification
system prefix is 'WS' followed by two numerals and cables are subjected to fire at 1050°C from 15mins to 120mins meanwhile Impact Test from 2.5J to 5000J and Cutting Test from 0.3kN to 5.0kN about the level of protection range from light duty to extremely duty.
即，WS52W 額定電纜將具有以下特性；

耐火及水噴淋測試
電纜放在電纜架上，然後懸吊在一個混凝土樓板下面，面對火源燃燒120分鐘。在此過程中，電纜是通電的，需要監測電路的回路通暢與否。緊接著，樣板又會安裝到噴淋設備上，噴水3分鐘，也需要監測電路是否通暢。
衝擊切割測試
電纜被設定在三種不同的溫度環境下進行撞擊測試，需要監控電路是否通暢。使用專用刀具進行逐步加壓切割測試，記錄切斷電路的最大力量。
