BS 476-6:对建筑材料和结构的着火试验—第6部分：产品火焰传播的测试方法。

BS 476-6:1989+A1:2009测试方法:

BS 476-6测试方法通过火焰传播指数大小，评估墙壁和天花板等产品防火性能。用热电偶连续记录烟囱中的温度与室温的差值，并将所得结果（温差与时间的关系曲线）与标定曲线比较，标定曲线是以规定密度的石棉-水泥板以同样的方式测定。

分别计算3个时间段[(0-3)min，(4-10)min，(11-20)min]的分火焰传播指数i

总火焰传播指数I为3个分火焰传播指数之和。

高度超过一定值的某些室外建筑，应采用I不大于20的材料或0级材料。

0级材料的火焰传播指数i≤6，I≤12。
