Applies to boilers with a fuel input rating of 12,500 Btuh (3663kW) or greater. This standard applies only to boiler-furnaces using atmospheric fluidized beds firing coal or alternate fuels.
 
NFPA 8504 contributes to the safe operation of boilers and the prevention of combustion hazards. It covers design; installation; operation; and maintenance of boilers and their fuel-burning, air supply, and combustion products removal systems. (66 pp., 1996)
